The NDIS can fund a wide range of support services, including:

• Assistance with daily activities like showering, dressing, and meal preparation
• Support coordination to help you navigate the NDIS and access the services you need

The amount of funding you receive through the NDIS will depend on your individual needs and goals. An NDIS planner will work with you to assess your needs and develop a plan that outlines the type and amount of support you'll receive.

Once you apply for the NDIS, you'll be contacted by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to discuss your needs. An NDIS planner will then work with you to develop a personalised support plan.

The NDIS allows you to choose your own service providers. You can find a list of registered NDIS providers in your area on the NDIS website. Look for providers who offer the services you need and who you feel comfortable working with.

As an NDIS participant, you have some responsibilities, such as managing your funding, choosing your service providers, and attending planning meetings. The NDIS will provide you with information and support to help you meet these responsibilities.
